This guide is intended to help ensure the safety of food for human consumption by adhering to on-farm Good Animal Nutrition Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) during the procurement, handling, storage, processing and distribution of feed and feed ingredients for food-producing animals. This guide applies to the production and use of all materials intended for animal feed and its components at all levels, whether produced industrially or on the farm, and includes grazing or feeding in open pastures, production of fodder crops and aquaculture.
